Dear clients and friends of our agency,
We are writing to inform you of an important decision we have made regarding our expedition program in Peru, specifically the routes to Chopicalqui and Huascarán.
After a careful evaluation and analysis of the current conditions in these mountains, we are forced to cancel this program. Over the past few years, we have faced a number of significant challenges that have impacted the safety and success of our expeditions. These challenges include:
- Climate Change: Weather conditions have changed severely, affecting the stability and predictability of routes.
- High Temperatures: High temperatures have increased the risk of avalanches and melting glaciers, creating additional dangers for our teams.
- Glacier Crevasses: Crevasses have become more numerous and difficult to cross, making expeditions extremely dangerous.
Our priority has always been and will continue to be the safety and well-being of our clients and guides. Given the impossibility of guaranteeing a safe and successful experience in these mountains, we have decided to temporarily remove this program from our expedition catalog.
We appreciate your understanding and support in this decision. We are still committed to offer high quality and safe experiences on our other expeditions.
