Records on the world’s highest volcano
Cars, motorcycles and athletes have set Ojos del Salado records recognized by Guinness. However, behind every attempt there is a team on the ground, and that team is ours.
The Ojos del Salado records we helped achieve
Each one, however, came with its own challenge. For example, we had to acclimatize the team, move vehicles across the desert and set up camps where almost no one goes.

The world’s highest marathon
BecomingX organized a marathon on Ojos del Salado with the support of Ford, and Guinness confirmed the record. Meanwhile, we took care of the logistics on the ground, the camps and the team of guides.

An electric motorcycle at 6,721 meters
Likewise, Jiří Žák rode a Stark Varg EX to 6,721 meters on Ojos del Salado and set the Guinness World Record for altitude on an electric motorcycle.

Pol Tarrés and Yamaha
Rider Pol Tarrés reached 6,755 meters on a Yamaha Ténéré 700 and a YZ450FX, and as a result set the Guinness World Record for altitude on a motorcycle.

A Porsche 911 at 6,734 meters
Before that, Romain Dumas drove a modified Porsche 911 to 6,734 meters and set the Guinness World Record for altitude in a car.
I was so happy and proud of my Chilean team, they were always there and without them it would have been a whole different experience.

How we support Ojos del Salado records
We take care of all the logistics, from planning to the last day on the mountain. In addition, we scale the operation to the size of each project, so that the attempt meets all the rules and requirements of the record.

Planning and permits
First, we define the route, acclimatization schedule and paperwork with you before you arrive.
4×4 fleet and technical gear
We also bring our own 4×4 vehicles and the technical gear that each discipline requires.
Infrastructure on the mountain
In addition, we have a permanent base camp at Laguna Verde and we set up the camps each project needs, whether it is a small team or a large group.
Long-range communications
VHF radios, InReach devices and our own antenna. From the 2026-27 season, the new antenna at Camp Atacama extends coverage to 120 km.
Safety and mountain medicine
Emergency oxygen, high-altitude medical equipment and a set evacuation protocol. Moreover, we are an official Global Rescue partner.
Certified guides
Finally, guides certified by UIAGM, ANGM and WFR support every attempt on the ground, from start to finish.
